The Booking Widget settings let you control how your online booking experience looks and behaves, including date and time formats, availability, service and resource information, languages, authentication, legal messaging and more.
Here Is What You Need to Know
You can manage your Booking Widget under Settings > Booking Widget.
The settings are organised into four tabs:
Display – configure dates, times, time slots, services, resources, languages and other information shown during booking.
Availability – define lead times, cancellation and rescheduling rules, slot frequency and how available slots are displayed.
Customisation – configure your company banner and customer-facing messages.
Advanced – manage session duration, authentication, conversion tracking, customer redirects and rescheduling behaviour.
The settings available to you depend on your TIMIFY plan. Settings that require a higher plan are displayed but cannot be edited. Hover over a disabled setting to see which plan is required.
ℹ️ If your company belongs to a Branch Manager account, individual Booking Widget settings can inherit their configuration from the global Branch Manager settings. Whether you can override a setting locally depends on your Branch Manager permissions.

How To Configure Your Booking Widget Settings
Go to Settings > Booking Widget and select the tab containing the setting you want to configure.
Depending on the setting, you can enable or disable it, select additional options or enter the required information.
Many settings include a preview so you can see how your configuration affects the booking experience before saving it.

The selected format applies wherever dates are shown during the booking process.
Time Display
Available with: Premium and Enterprise

You can select a 12-hour or 24-hour format and configure the punctuation and spacing used to display the time.
The selected format applies wherever times are shown during the booking process.
Time Slot Layout
Available with: Premium and Enterprise
Use Time slot layout to determine how customers browse available booking slots.
You can display availability:
By day
By calendar week
Resource Preference Display
Available with: Premium and Enterprise
Use Resource preference display to control whether customers can select a preferred resource during the booking process.
When enabled, customers can select a resource preference. When disabled, resource selection is hidden and a resource is assigned automatically.
Depending on the settings available for your account, you can also use Display No preference option to determine whether customers can continue without selecting a specific resource.
Service Category Dropdown
Available with: Premium and Enterprise
Use Service category dropdown to determine how your service categories are displayed during service selection.
You can display categories open, with their services immediately visible, or collapsed so that customers expand the category they want to view.
Enable Show the first category open if you want the first category to be expanded automatically.
This can make it easier for customers to navigate your services when you offer several service categories.
ℹ️ You can change the order of your services and service categories under Management > Services. The same order is used in the Booking Widget.
Service & Group Display
Available with: Premium and Enterprise
Use Service & group display to choose which information customers see for your services and group events.
Depending on the options available for your account, you can control the display of:
Service duration
Service sessions
Service price
Available participant slots for group events
These options affect the relevant parts of the booking process, including service selection, availability and the booking overview.
ℹ️ Hiding the service price does not remove it where the price is required as part of the payment process. The price is always displayed on the payment step. If the booking was paid online, it is also displayed on the success step. Customer emails display the price when Display service price is enabled or when the booking was paid online. Resource emails always include the price.
Advanced Service Filter Display
Available with: Enterprise
Use Advanced service filter display to determine whether customers can filter the services available to them.
When enabled, you can make the following filters available:
Service type
Service category
Service attributes
When disabled, the advanced service filter is hidden.
Time Zone Selector
Available with: Enterprise
Use Time zone selector to allow customers to change the time zone used to display available appointments.
When enabled, you can:
Display all time zones
Display preferred time zones
If you select Display preferred time zones, choose which time zones should be available.
Your company's own time zone is always available and cannot be removed from the preferred time zones.
When the selector is disabled, available slots are displayed in your company's time zone.
Language Settings
Available with: Premium and Enterprise
Use Language settings to control the language in which the Booking Widget loads and whether customers can select another language.
Enable Define default Booking Widget loading language to select the language in which the Booking Widget initially loads. If you do not define one, your company's locale language is used.
Enable Enable language selector to allow customers to change the language themselves.
When the language selector is enabled, you can:
Display all languages
Display preferred languages
If you select Display preferred languages, choose which languages should be available to customers.
ℹ️ The default Booking Widget loading language is always included in your preferred languages and cannot be removed.
Company Details Display
Available with: Enterprise
Use Company details display to control whether your company name and address are shown during the booking process.
When disabled, the company details are hidden from the booking overview sidebar. If the company details are the only content in the sidebar, the complete sidebar is hidden instead of displaying an empty area.
Step Description Display
Available with: Enterprise
Use Step description display to determine whether descriptions appear underneath the headings of applicable booking steps.
When enabled, customers see the descriptions that provide additional context for each step. When disabled, these descriptions are hidden.
This applies to relevant steps such as location selection, service selection, booking details, customer details, resource selection, availability, booking overview and payment.
ℹ️ Descriptions on error, authentication, registration, forgotten password, success and cancellation screens are not controlled by this setting.
2. Availability
The Availability tab contains the settings that determine when customers can book and how available appointments are presented.

Maximum Lead Time
Available with: Classic, Premium and Enterprise
Use Maximum lead time to define how far in advance customers can make a booking.
Enter a value and select whether it represents:

Weeks
Months
For example, if you want customers to be able to book appointments up to one month in advance, set the maximum lead time to one month.
Minimum Lead Time

Use Minimum lead time to determine how close to the service start time customers can still make a booking.
You can specify the lead time in:
Minutes
Hours
Days
For example, you can allow bookings until shortly before the appointment starts, or add a longer minimum lead time if your team needs time to prepare.
Cancellation And Rescheduling
Available with: Classic, Premium and Enterprise
Use Cancellation and rescheduling to determine whether customers can cancel or reschedule their booking using the links in their confirmation email.
You can allow these actions:
Up until the service starts
Only until a defined period before the service starts
When the configured lead time has passed, the customer can no longer perform the corresponding action.
ℹ️ Customers access the cancellation and rescheduling options from their booking confirmation email.
Slot Frequency Display
Available with: Premium and Enterprise
Use Slot frequency display to determine how frequently available booking slots are offered in the Booking Widget.
You can base the frequency on:
Service duration
15-minute intervals
30-minute intervals
60-minute intervals
ℹ️ The slot frequency determines which start times are offered. It does not change the duration of the service.
Availability Slot Display
Available with: Enterprise
Use Availability slot display to control how available slots are presented to customers.
You can:
Display all available slots
Use a controlled slot reveal
With a controlled slot reveal, you can define how many of the earliest and/or latest available slots should initially be displayed. More slots become available for display as bookings are made.
ℹ️ When you use a controlled slot reveal, at least one of the first-slot or last-slot options must be selected.
3. Customisation
The Customisation tab contains settings for the company banner and customer-facing messages.

You can configure the following elements:
Banner background – define a HEX colour or upload a JPEG, JPG, GIF or PNG image.

Text – select the text position and add a headline of up to 35 characters and a sub-headline of up to 120 characters.
Social media links – add the social media links you want to display.
ℹ️ Text that you enter yourself is not automatically translated when customers change the Booking Widget language.
Legal Messaging
Available with: Premium and Enterprise
Use Legal messaging to add your own legal information alongside TIMIFY's legal messaging.
You can add:
A custom terms and conditions link
A custom privacy policy link
Custom disclaimer text
You can choose whether the disclaimer appears on the customer details step or the booking overview step.
Offline Message
Available with: Enterprise
Use Offline message to create a personalised message for customers when online booking is switched off.
When the personalised message is disabled, the standard offline message is displayed instead.
This can be useful when online booking is temporarily unavailable, for example while you update your services or availability.
4. Advanced
The Advanced tab contains additional controls for booking behaviour, authentication, tracking and what happens after a booking.

Session Duration
Available with: Enterprise
Use Session duration to determine how long a selected time slot remains reserved while a customer completes their booking.
You can select:
5 minutes
10 minutes
15 minutes
You can also allow customers to extend their reservation before it expires and specify whether they can extend it one, two or three times.
Customers are prompted shortly before the session expires. If the session expires, the reservation is released.
Authentication
Available with: Premium and Enterprise
Use Authentication to determine which authentication options customers can use when making an online booking.
You can make the following options available:
TIMIFY Booker account – customers use their TIMIFY Booker account.
Facebook – customers authenticate using their Facebook account.
Guest – customers continue as a guest and enter the required booking information.
The combination you select determines which options customers see during authentication.
Conversion Tracking
Available with: Premium and Enterprise
Use Conversion tracking to configure Facebook Pixel and/or Google Analytics tracking.
Enter the relevant tracking IDs and configure the visitor consent message.
You can choose whether tracking applies to:
EU visitors only
Visitors worldwide
ℹ️ Conversion tracking only works when the Booking Widget is used directly. It does not work when the widget is embedded using a script or iframe.
Customer Redirect
Available with: Enterprise
Use Customer redirect to send customers to a specific page after they complete their booking.
Enable the setting and enter the URL to which customers should be redirected. When a redirect is configured, the customer is redirected from the success step. Attributes and add-to-calendar options are not displayed on that step.
Retain Resource Preference On Reschedule
Available with: Enterprise
Use Retain resource preference on reschedule to keep a customer's resource preference when they reschedule an appointment.
When enabled, the resource from the original booking is preselected if that resource is still available.
If the original resource is unavailable, the available selection follows your Resource preference display configuration, including Display No preference option where applicable.
5. Other Settings That Affect The Booking Widget
Not every feature that affects what customers can book is configured directly under Settings > Booking Widget.
Service And Service Category Order
The order you define for your services and service categories under Management > Services is also used in the Booking Widget.
Use the reorder option in Management > Services to change this order.
Combined Services
Combined Services let you combine multiple services and offer them as a bundle in the Booking Widget.
This is managed separately from the Booking Widget settings.
6. Booking Widget Settings With Branch Manager
If your company belongs to a Branch Manager account, Booking Widget settings can be defined globally and inherited by individual branches.
Global settings are configured under Global Settings > Booking Widget in Branch Manager. These values provide the default configuration inherited by branches.
At branch level, each applicable setting includes Inherit global setting.
When Inherit global setting is selected:
The branch uses the configuration defined globally.
The local configuration for that setting is hidden.
When Inherit global setting is cleared:
The local configuration becomes available.
You can configure a different value for that branch, provided your Branch Manager permissions allow the setting to be overridden.
Inheritance works separately for each setting. This means that a branch can inherit most of its Booking Widget configuration while using its own values for selected settings.
To return a setting to the global configuration, select Inherit global setting again.

ℹ️ Global settings are applied after a company has been selected during the booking process. Settings that affect parts of the booking journey before company selection can therefore depend on the individual booking flow. This applies to Language settings, Service & group display, Advanced service filter display, Step description display, and Company banner display in the affected flows.
