The Availability Slot Display setting allows you to control how available booking slots are shown to customers in the Booking Widget.

Instead of always displaying all available slots, you can choose to reveal only a defined number of the earliest or latest time slots, or a combination of both. This helps improve the booking experience for customers and supports strategic slot management.

ℹ️ The feature is available for Enterprise Plan accounts only.

1. Why Use This Feature

  • Prevent customers from being overwhelmed by too many booking options.

  • Encourage early or late-day bookings based on your business goals.

  • Help direct bookings to quieter times or specific parts of the day.

  • Ideal for high-volume sectors such as healthcare, logistics, and large service providers.

2. How to Configure the Setting

You can enable the Availability Slot Display feature both from the Web App settings and the Global Settings in the Branch Manager.

ℹ️ Note: If the Web App is part of a Branch Manager, it has the option to inherit the settings for Availability Slot Display from there.

You can choose between two display modes under Settings > Booking, then click the Edit Settings pencil icon in the top right corner and scroll down to find Online Booking: Availability Slot Display. There, you'll see the two options:

  1. Display All Available Slots (Default)

    • Shows all available booking slots based on the selected service and resource availability.

  2. Controlled Slot Reveal (New)

    • Lets you decide how many slots to reveal and from which end of the day:

      • First Available Slots: Reveals the earliest available slots in chronological order.

      • Last Available Slots: Reveals the latest available slots in reverse order.

    • You can select both options simultaneously to reveal slots from both ends of the schedule, converging toward midday.

3. Slot Reveal Rules

  • You can define up to 10 slots for each direction (first or last).

  • When a visible slot is booked, the next available one automatically appears, keeping the number of visible slots consistent.

  • If the requested number of slots exceeds available ones, the system will display as many as exist.

  • Overlapping slots (from both ends) appear only once in the widget.

4. Shared Slot Availability

When customers select Any resource when making a booking, the widget merges availability across all resources for the selected service.

  • A single visible time (e.g., 10:00) might represent availability from multiple resources.

  • Once a booking is completed, the slot remains visible until all resources offering that slot are fully booked.

5. Important Tips

  • If neither checkbox (first or last slot display) is selected, the system will show an error and prevent saving until you choose at least one option.

  • To maintain consistent visibility for customers, the system dynamically replaces booked slots with the next available ones, ensuring a stable number of visible options.

  • If your plan changes from Enterprise to Classic or Premium, the system automatically reverts to Display All Available Slots. Your previous settings are retained internally and will be restored if you upgrade again.

6. FAQ

Only the available slots are shown. For example, if you set 10 slots but only 5 exist, only those 5 are displayed.

Q: Can I use both ‘first’ and ‘last’ slot options together?
Yes, when both are enabled, slots appear from both ends of the day (morning and afternoon), meeting in the middle.

Q: Does this setting affect the Fast Booking Widget?
No, it only impacts the external Booking Widget view for customers.

Q: What if multiple resources share the same slot?
That slot remains visible until all resources offering it are fully booked.

Q: Is there a preview available before saving?
Yes, the preview shows how slots appear according to your configuration, including the number of visible early and late slots.
