If you have services that are often booked alongside each other - for example, a dental check-up and a dental cleaning - this feature makes it possible for you to combine those services together, for you and/or your customers to book in one go.

In this article, we show you how to enable the setting; how to add a Combined Service; plus we give you tips on things to watch out for.

Article structure:

  1. How to Enable the Combined Services Feature

  2. How to Add a Combined Service

  3. How Service Availability Affects Combined Services

1. How to Enable the Combined Services Feature

Navigate to Settings, Bookings, and click on the "Other" tab. Then click the "edit" icon. Enable the setting, and hit save.

ℹ️ You can disable the setting once you have added Combined Services - and you don't want new Combined Services to be created. Even if the setting is disabled, you can still add existing Combined Services to your calendar.

2. How to Add a Combined Service

Navigate to Management, Services, then click the "+" add service icon. You'll be prompted to choose which type of service you want to add. Select Combined Service.

Adding a Combined Service is similar to adding a regular single Service. A few things are different - here's what you need to be aware of:

Service Selection

✅ You can select anywhere from two to five Services

❎ You can not add Services with Intervals ("Split Bookings")

✅ You can add Prep and Follow Up Times to the Combined Service

⚠️ If you select single Services that contain Prep and Follow Up Times, these times are not included in the Combined Service

⚠️ In your Calendar View, each Service will still appear the same - whether the services have been booked as parts of a Combined Service, or separately.

Price

✅ A Combined Services Price is calculated automatically by the system: the total cost of all services individually. However, you can add a different price if you want.

Settings

⚠️ The system is set up to distribute the services within a Combined Service to as many unique Online Bookable Resources as possible. If you want the Services to be allocated to the same - or as few Online Bookable Resources as possible - select the setting "Assign either the same resource or as few resources as possible, to carry out the single services that comprise the combined service."

⚠️ If you select "Display the service in the Booking Widget", the Combined Service will appear in your Widget, for customers to self-schedule online. This is the case even if the Combined Service consists of Single Services that are not online bookable individually!

3. How Service Availability Affects Combined Services

If a Combined Service has a Single Service that is only available on Mondays, for example, the Combined Service is also restricted in the same way: it can only be booked on Mondays.

Furthermore, if a Combined Service has a Single Service that is only available on Mondays and another Single Service that is available only on Wednesdays, it will not be possible to add the Combined Service to your calendar at all.
